AP-7202, AP-7202X and AP-7203 Titanium carbide based chromium-molybdenum steel-bonded carbide is of many attractive features:
low density, high hardness, high wear resistance, high rigidity, good high temperature resistance, good self-lubricating performance, good impact resistance and anti-thermal fatigue resistance, high modulus of elasticity and rigidity, excellent damping characteristics, low coefficient of friction and thermal expansion coefficient, good self-lubricating properties and good resistance to oxidation, corrosion and high temperature with a low heat treatment deformation rate. It is a good rigid seismic tool and parts and can be repaired, welded and machined.

1. Service life of cold stamping die made with AP-7203 Titanium carbide-based Chromium-Molybdenum Steel Bonded Carbide is about dozens of times as that of high chromium tool steel die based on our experiment. Due to its good self-lubricating properties, it has better performance in extrusion die applications than cemented carbide, especially in the extrusion of viscous metal materials such as copper alloys and stainless steel.

2. The mold service life of cold stamping die made with AP-7203 Titanium carbide-based Chromium-Molybdenum Steel Bonded Carbide  is increased by a dozen of times. Previous refractory molds are mainly manufactured by carbonitriding low carbon steel or cast iron and high chromium cast iron.
